The International Conference of Political Marketing
4th Edition, Romania

The Romanian Association for Political Marketing – ARMP and the Institute for Political Research – University of Bucharest are organizing, in April 2007, The International Conference of Political Marketing, 4th Edition. This project also includes a series of pre-events between October 2006 and March 2007.
The Conference that will be organized in Romania in 2007 is the main international event of this discipline, bringing together the most prominent personalities in the field.
The conference is a primarily academic avent, but additionally an important part of its participants will be practitioners in the field of Political Marketing.

Holding this event in Romania places our country in a select group of democracies and societies sharing a modern perspective of the public space, politics and government policies.

The International Conference of Political Marketing is an initiative of a number of professors from Great Britain, the United States of America, Greece, Cyprus and other countries, supported by Prof. Bruce Newman, PhD and the Journal of Political Marketing, which is the most prestigious journal in this field and is edited by Prof. Newman.
The first two editions (2004 and 2005) were held in Greece and organized by the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia. The third edition was held in Cyprus and organized by the Cyprus College – Nicosia. The 2006 edition was the first such conference of international dimension.

The role of the conferences is to develop the field of Political Marketing and propagate it to the countries with a democratic substance. Furthermore, they aim at bringing together the currently and prospectively best researchers, professors and practitioners in the field, in order to create a strong international academic community.

These purposes are meant to be a means of transmitting ideas, local and global experiences, in order to contribute to the development of those societies who come to share the means and stakes of this field.
